SPANDA: THE YOGA OF VIBRATION
Experiencing the Pulsation of Divine Consciousness

with
CHRISTOPHER TOMPKINS, M.T.S., M.A.
ELIZABETH BROWN
& ROBERTO LIM

WORKSHOP TIMES & DESCRIPTIONS
According to the core Tantric philosophy of Spanda, the ‘Vibration’ of Divine Consciousness manifests as the whole universe, including the physical and subtle bodies of every human being. Tantra teaches us that there is a unifying continuity between our physical bodies, the activities of our mind and emotions, and all forms of interior awareness. Christopher Tompkins will teach on Spanda while Elizabeth Brown and Roberto Lim will lead an asana class with pranayama and meditation to assimilate, weave, and embody the teachings.

9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Chris will begin with an enlightening exploration of the roots, history and philosophy (darshana) of Tantric Yoga with a specific focus on the Spanda School of the Tantric tradition. Elizabeth and Roberto will lead a practice to embody the teachings.

2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The afternoon session build on concepts from the morning and their meaning; we will include a Saraswati puja to honor the beginning of the autumn season of learning and growth.  Saraswati, the goddess of speech and learning, imbues us with a greater capacity to hold knowledge and to integrate knowledge into practice.

Attending both sessions is highly recommended. No  experience necessary; space is limited.  Come with an open mind and a willing heart.
